The STA - (Student Theatre Academy) is a unique approach to supporting schools with drama and theatre. This can be either to improve your school performances, develop staff skills or introduce high quality drama as part of your programme.  

 

STA provides your school with the chance to work with theatre professionals and access the best equipment, costumes and resources to turn your performances into full scale productions.

 

Each school participating in the programme takes part in a bespoke programme of activity designed and purposed to meet your individual needs and strategic outcomes. It provides exciting performance opportunities at local, regional and national level, provides exciting ideas, new techniques and can complement existing provision.

 

On an annual basis we provide support for schools in the following ways:

 

• Full academic year support for drama and theatre studies

• Professional performance opportunities - play, musical theatre or Shakespeare

• Full costume and props packages overseen by a wardrobe specialist

• Support and workshops led by industry professionals in a range of specialisms: eg. Stage managers, make-up & wardrobe, directing, musical direction, marketing

• Careers ad signposting advice for talented performers
